The Garden of Eden was created for all mankind. God created the garden specifically Adam, the first man whom god created. And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east. Some believe the garden was made on top of a mountain,”10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. 11 The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12 (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin[a] and onyx are also there.) 13 The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush. 14 The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Ashur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.” Genesis 2:10-14
And out of the ground he made every tree grow. there in the garden god had created 2 trees, Good and Evil. God used these trees to test Adam and Eve, First there is was a tree of life, the tree of life was to grant “or to sustain” eternal life”. The tree of life is for gods people “. which is now in Heaven. This tree was the “temptation” tree, The tree would give adam knowledge of good and evil, not a single man would know good and evil, but God could test good and evil in man.”2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Revelation 22:2
Here is a map of where the rivers, they were known in the ancient world as the Pishon today they are known as Euphrates. The area was changed after the flood, the names of these rivers are no longer can be used to determine the exact place of the Garden of Eden because the flood dramatically changed the earth’s landscape and erased these rivers from the map. God put Adam into the most spectacular paradise the world has seen, but God put Adam there to do work (to tend and keep it). Work is something good for man and was part of Adam’s perfect existence before the fall.
God put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden, which he warned Adam not to eat from this one tree, but he can eat from every other tree of his choice. God made a this tree to test for Adam which he was a creature of free will, he had the choice to eat from it or not. This tree was put here to see if Adam would rebel against God, if there was never a tree there would never be a command or never something to be forbidden, there would never be a choice. Look at Adam he only had one law, that was not to eat from this one tree, we have many laws in our life from god, but Adam just one. God had commanded this law originally to Adam, but God have not made woman out of man yet. God warned Adam that the day you eat from this tree, you will surly die. God made this command clear to Adam and God clearly explained the consequences for disobedience.
God declares he will make a helper comparable to Adam so creates the first woman out of Adam, the aloneness of man. God never meant for man to be alone or either in the marital or social sense. Woman and man were made to be one in flesh by marriage. the wild and violent and evil and sociopathic men in the past have always been single, never under the plan God has given to influence men for life. God meant for in reference of marriage relationship, god made woman perfect helper for man. God gave this agenda to Adam, Adam and Eve were work together in the garden to fulfill their job. “12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve;” 1 Timothy 2:12-13. Man was made to be the leader of the home and the women to help him. Man was meant to help his wife or woman but as we see in many ways, man does not help his wife. God does look down upon the family, he sees every thing a man in leadership does good or bad, faithful or not and the calling of leadership. of course a true leader in christ will defiantly help others.”25 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:25-28. A woman or wife was made to be a helper and she was comparable to man, she is considered and honored as such. She is to be considered as a equal human being in God’s grace. There was no other helper like Adam to be among the animals. God made every single beast out into the field and every single bird out of the air, and God brought them all to Adam to see what names he would give them, and whatever name he gave to each creature was their name. He named all cattle, birds of the sky and every beast of the field. Adam is the first and the most greatest biologist and botanists of all time.
“3 Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden, 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, 3 but God said, You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ” 4 But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise,2 she took of its fruit and ate,
and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.
7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.
Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” 11 He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, the serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,
“Cursed are you above all livestock
and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”
16 To the woman he said,
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”
17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’“Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”
20 Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.
21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” 23 So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.” Genesis 3:1-24
